Following the amendment to the "Act on Prevention of Illegal Use of Mobile Phones", effective April 1, 2026 (Wednesday), we are updating our ID verification methods for online applications.
When applying at a shop, please prepare one of the following documents ready and always bring the original. Copying is unacceptable.

After you use Rakuten Mobile, you may be asked to resubmit identification documents by email or other means.
Rakuten Mobile may cancel your application based on the screening process. In such cases, please note that depending on the timing of the cancellation, you may receive an email asking to resubmit your identification documents.
